Holes 18 | Par 72 | Length 6372 m / 6969 y | Type Parkland | Architect Mr. Peter Thompson

One of the older courses in Chiang Mai set in a tree-lined valley with great views to the surrounding mountains. The course is quite short by modern-day standards but it’s a very enjoyable course for everyone.

The course tends to feel slightly cooler than most due to its elevated position and the many mature fruit trees also provide welcome shade on those hot days.  The feel of the course is part parkland with some links-type features thrown in but most holes are tree-lined with undulating fairways and some strategically placed pot bunkers.

Designed by the legendary Peter Thompson, the course is only 6969 yards long so accuracy rather than power off the tee is advisable and make sure you check the distances with your caddie as there are some deceptive holes and if you under-club you could end up in the hazard or worse.

Apart from this the course is pretty straightforward with no blind tee shots or over-protected  greens, meaning that if you hit it straight and putt well then you could score well even on a  first attempt.

There is a  55-room hotel overlooking the course and other facilities include a swimming pool, sauna and restaurant, all run by attentive and friendly staff.

An excellent course

Great course with plenty of trees lining fairways. Greens were a bit average. Players mishitting into trees and shrubs be aware of snakes. Plenty of them around and the club would do well to post some warning notices

A little tired in places, but nice layout and you can see pretty much all the trouble from the tee

Very good greens. Caddies were fab and made it for us. Millionaires golf as we were pretty much alone on the course- round in 3.5hrs

We played at midday so pretty much had the course to ourselves . Caddies were good fun - especially my girlfriends.

Nice layout with nice shots to play. I went off the blue tees so each drive had some tension to it. Although the greens putted well enough 4-5 of them have some sort of infestation and putting through that would have been a lottery. More by luck than judgement we never had to endure that- had it been necessary I think I would have taken relief - the surface was that bad.

"Mature course but can get crowded"

Reviewed by ; on
The course is in good condition and the layout is at times quite challenging. The only negative is that at the time we played the course was overrun with Koreans. The organisation was a bit disorganised and the staff offhand and the on-courses toilets were disgusting. Prices in the restaurant were reasonable.
