The 18 hole golf course plays to 6,747 yards from the back tee but there is a choice of four tee locations on each hole. There are eleven par-4 holes, three par-3 holes and four par-5 holes. Despite starting in the traditional manner with a par-4 hole, Flora Ville Golf and Country Club ends with a par-3 on the 17th hole and a par-5 on the 18th hole, making for a different experience from the standard layout.
The main features of the par-72 course are lakes, bunkers and mounding, which combine to produce a strategic golf course. The round at Flora Ville Golf and Country Club begins with a basic par-4 hole and most players should be able to get off to a good start. The second hole, which is also a par-4 features a narrower fairway and bunkers along the left side which could come into play.
However, water often frames many of the holes and that’s the case on the second par-4. The water is located down the right side of the fairway and that’s why the addition of the bunkers on the left make this hole a tricky proposition.
The first par-5 is the third hole and first par-3 can be found on the fourth hole. However, the greens are regarded as being the toughest test at Flora Ville Golf and Country Club. They are not particularly undulating but it is the size and speed of the putting surface which makes them tricky. Do not be surprised if you happen to miss a couple of greens on approach, as they are not the biggest target. Once on the green, judging the pace of the putt is the key to success.
Away from the course, the clubhouse and facilities at Flora Ville Golf and Country Club were completed rebuilt in 2018. Visitors a treated to a modern clubhouse boasting luxurious locker rooms, a pro shop and restaurant. Additional facilities include a meeting room and sports club, with fitness programs and personal trainers available should you wish to use them.
The new and improved clubhouse at Flora Ville Golf and Country Club has added a new dimension to what was already an excellent golf course close to Bangkok.
